Atlético Madrid’s chief executive has drawn a firm line under speculation over Julián Álvarez’s future. Miguel Ángel Gil Marín confirmed the Argentine striker will stay at the Wanda Metropolitano regardless of any summer offers. Barcelona reportedly offered just over £100 million for Álvarez, while Arsenal have also been linked with a move. Gil Marín made it clear that Atlético have no intention of negotiating, stressing their commitment even if bids rose to €150 million or €200 million. Álvarez enjoyed a standout season with 29 goals and eight assists in 57 appearances.
