Ten Nigerian Women to Be Honoured at 2026 Women in Business and Politics Summit

Ten Nigerian women from business, politics and public service will receive special honours at the 2026 Women in Business and Politics Summit on August 21 in Abuja. The summit will bring together entrepreneurs, professionals, political leaders and other stakeholders to discuss leadership, enterprise, economic empowerment and women’s participation in national development. Honourees include Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Dr. Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu, Funmi Ajila-Ladipo, Hajia Hasfat Balewa, Hilda Ashton Titiloye and other women recognised for their leadership and contributions to society. The individual award citations will be announced at the event. Organisers say the gathering will also encourage networking, leadership development and greater female representation in decision-making roles.
