Osun Court Dismisses APP’s Contempt Suit Against APC Local Chairmen

A Federal High Court in Osogbo has struck out the contempt case brought by the Action Peoples Party (APP) against the All Progressives Congress (APC) state chairman and council chairmen. APP had alleged that a November 2022 court judgment and a subsequent appeal ruling removed the APC chairmen from office. The party claimed the defendants continued to occupy party secretariats in defiance of that order. In Tuesday’s ruling, the judge found the suit lacked merit and dismissed it for failure to establish contempt.
