Otti Says Labour Party’s ‘Worst’ Is Over, Urges Unity After National Convention

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State says the Labour Party’s most turbulent period is behind it following the recent national convention in Umuahia. He spoke at the inaugural meeting of the new National Working Committee in Abuja, where Nenadi Usman was elected chair. He praised the peaceful exercise and urged all members to work in unity, discipline and speak with one voice. Otti revealed that reconciliation is already yielding results, with over 25 former state chairmen rejoining and the possible return of ex-national chairman Julius Abure. He also affirmed the party’s readiness to field strong candidates in the 2027 general elections.
