On March 28, 2026, South African mother Leeh Setlholoeng-Mojakgolo marked six years since her daughter Boineelo Fortunate took her own life. In a heartfelt Facebook post, she recalled discovering her child’s lifeless body hanging from a tree. Leeh described the shock and heartbreak that overwhelmed her at that moment. “Me vs the girl who sent me straight to a psychiatric hospital after finding her lifeless body hanging on a tree,” she wrote. Despite having a cast on her arm, she tried to resuscitate Boineelo single-handedly. Even after six years, Leeh says the memory of that tragic day still eclipses their happiest moments. “I imagine the pain you endured as tiny as you were when you took your own life!” she added. Through her grief, she continues to honor her daughter’s memory and the deep bond they shared.
