Lagos Passengers Remove Bus Battery After Driver and Conductor Abandon Them at Dopemu
Passengers travelling from Oshodi were reportedly stranded at Dopemu after their commercial bus stopped and the driver and conductor left without explanation. After waiting for about an hour, some passengers began removing parts of the bus, including its battery. The action reportedly brought the driver back, while the conductor did not return. The stranded passengers demanded refunds of the ₦1,000 fare they had paid, saying they were no longer willing to continue the journey after the delay. A video from the scene captured the confrontation and the passengers’ frustration.
