Nasarawa Bans Outsiders from Playing Football in Schools, to Build Five Mini-Stadiums

The Nasarawa State Government has ordered that non-students can no longer use school grounds for football and other games after repeated damage to roofs and infrastructure. Officials clarified that pupils may still play on designated school pitches. External individuals and groups must now use public stadiums for their matches. To ease the transition, contracts were awarded last week to construct five mini-stadiums across the state. School heads have been directed to enforce the new policy to protect educational facilities.
