Hamilton Says Ferrari Must Find More Pace Despite Dominant Friday in Hungary

Hamilton Says Ferrari Must Find More Pace Despite Dominant Friday in Hungary — 1 of 4
1 / 4

Lewis Hamilton says Ferrari must still find more performance ahead of qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix, despite an impressive Friday in practice. Charles Leclerc set the pace in the opening session before Hamilton led a Ferrari one-two in FP2. McLaren's Lando Norris was the closest challenger, nearly half a second behind. Hamilton said changing winds and the bumpy Hungaroring surface made conditions difficult. He believes Ferrari improved between sessions but needs to refine the car's balance overnight. Mercedes' George Russell also admitted Ferrari looked very strong, although he said Mercedes' long-run pace was more encouraging than its single-lap speed.
