The Dignity of Every Honest Calling

Every honest form of work has dignity before God. Farmers, doctors, teachers, artisans, cleaners, drivers and business owners all contribute to the well-being of society. Colossians 3:23–24 calls us to work wholeheartedly as unto the Lord, while 1 Corinthians 12:22 reminds us that even the roles people consider less important are necessary. No occupation should determine a person's worth. Today, choose to honour people beyond their titles, income or social status. Ask God to remove pride and prejudice from your heart, and to help you treat every worker with kindness, humility and respect.
