Why Northwest and Northeast Are Set to Reject Tinubu in 2027

Northwest and Northeast voters believe Tinubu will never return power to their regions. They fear he will back a Yoruba candidate from North Central who offers them no real benefit. Some still cling to the idea that those regions might support him. I laugh at that notion. Both zones have publicly denounced Tinubu and won’t vote for him in 2027. In contrast, Peter Obi has secured strong support across North Central states like Nasarawa, Benue, Abuja and Plateau. Kogi looks promising for him as well. Kwara remains undecided, torn between past failures, insecurity and basic services.
