Zamfara Trains School Management Leaders to Boost Community Participation
The Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board has begun training School-Based Management Committee master trainers to strengthen school governance and community involvement in basic education. The programme brings together master trainers, education board officials, facilitators and other stakeholders. Participants are expected to gain skills they can pass on to committee members in schools across the state. Officials said stronger school-based committees could improve accountability, support teachers and learners, and encourage parents and communities to take a more active role in education.
