For a dose of inspiration, meet Ifeanyi Ruth Umunna. The Harvard Law student body elected her Co-President for the 2026–27 term, a milestone celebrated across the global Nigerian community. “I am humbled and honoured to have been elected 2026–2027 Harvard Law School Student Government Co-President,” she shared. “Thank you to the Student Body for believing in our vision. We are ready to serve.” Before Harvard, Ifeanyi was a 2024 Gates Cambridge Scholar with an MPhil in Criminology. She also served as a Congressional aide, delving into international criminal justice systems. A summa cum laude graduate in Political Science, she founded a nonprofit closing the tech gap for justice-involved individuals. This summer, she joins the UK’s Public Defender Service as a Chayes Fellow, continuing her family’s legacy of legal leadership.
