Mainoo and Shaw Ruled Out of Man United’s Atletico Madrid Trip
Manchester United will be without Kobbie Mainoo and Luke Shaw for Tuesday’s Champions League match against Atlético Madrid. Manager Michael Carrick confirmed that both players picked up physical issues during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham. Their absence adds to United’s selection problems. Patrick Dorgu and Noussair Mazraoui are also unavailable, leaving Diogo Dalot, Lisandro Martínez, Ayden Heaven and Harry Amass as possible options on the left. Carlos Baleba could replace Mainoo in midfield after his substitute debut against Tottenham. Mason Mount and Andrey Santos are also in contention as United seek to improve on a difficult start to the season.
