Lookman Sets Transfer Terms: ‘Negotiate With Atlético’ After Osimhen’s Invitation

Lookman Sets Transfer Terms: ‘Negotiate With Atlético’ After Osimhen’s Invitation — 1 of 3
1 / 3

Ademola Lookman has signalled he is open to joining Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray. The Nigerian attacker told the Istanbul champions they must first agree a deal with Atlético Madrid before any move can happen. Galatasaray are fresh off a record 26th Süper Lig title and are considering a roughly €40 million bid for the 27-year-old. Lookman remains contracted to Atlético through 2030 and has made it clear that his current club holds the key to any transfer. Now Galatasaray’s pursuit hinges on opening formal talks with Atlético Madrid. The Spanish side may be hesitant to sell soon after investing heavily in Lookman, especially amid other changes in their forward line.

Do you think Lookman would thrive alongside Osimhen at Galatasaray if the clubs finalise a deal quickly?

It's interesting that Lookman insists Galatasaray must negotiate with Atlético first, as though other factors in the transfer aren't significant.

I'm not convinced moving to Turkey is better for his career, even if he teams up with Osimhen in that title-winning squad.

Atlético and Galatasaray should finalise fees and personal terms before pitching the move to Lookman and his representatives.
