Choose Friends Who Strengthen Your Faith
The people around you can influence your character, decisions and spiritual growth. Proverbs 13:20 teaches that walking with the wise brings wisdom, while bad company can lead you astray. A godly friend encourages your faith, offers honest correction and supports you through difficult times. Choose friends by their character and the influence they have on your life, not by their wealth or popularity. Set boundaries when a relationship repeatedly encourages wrongdoing, and seek counsel from people who value truth and integrity. David and Jonathan, Ruth and Naomi, and Paul and Timothy offer examples of loyalty, compassion and spiritual encouragement. Friendship also calls you to be trustworthy, supportive and willing to speak the truth in love. Do not compromise your convictions just to gain acceptance. Let Christ guide your relationships and help you become the kind of friend who encourages others to grow. Lord, give me wisdom to recognise friendships that honour You and courage to set healthy boundaries. Help me remain faithful to Your Word and become a trustworthy, loving friend. Amen.
