Peter Obi Praises Davido’s ‘Bring Them Home’ Jacket Highlighting Abducted Oyo Students

Labour Party 2027 presidential candidate Peter Obi has praised Afrobeat star Davido for using his global platform to draw attention to Nigeria’s security crisis. At the FIFA World Cup countdown concert, Davido wore a custom black leather jacket with “BRING THEM HOME” printed on the back. The garment featured green buttons bearing the names of 39 schoolchildren and 7 teachers abducted on May 15 from Ahoro-Esinle and Yawota communities in Oriire LGA, Oyo State. Obi said the musician’s gesture deserves high praise for shining a spotlight on the plight of vulnerable citizens and urging action for their safe return. He also stressed the need for stronger political leadership to nurture the talents of Nigeria’s youth and address ongoing insecurity.
