Ibiyeomie Threatens to Back Nigeria's Division Over Religious Freedom Concerns

Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries has criticised what he described as the selective silence of some Yoruba pastors under President Bola Tinubu's administration. Speaking during a church service, Ibiyeomie said some pastors were more vocal during former President Goodluck Jonathan's tenure, which he argued was better than the current administration. He described the contrast as tribalistic. He said Nigeria must protect freedom of worship and vowed to oppose any attempt to Islamize the country. The cleric added that he would support calls for Nigeria's division if religious freedom were threatened.
