Lagos Schoolgirls Gain Confidence with Menstrual Hygiene Workshop

Eighty girls at Lanre Awolokun High School in Gbagada joined a hands-on menstrual hygiene workshop organized by Street Aid Africa Foundation. Facilitators covered safe sanitary pad use, proper disposal, and daily hygiene practices like regular hand washing and oral care. Participants enjoyed an interactive session featuring the Siisii Red Period Song and practical demonstrations. They also discussed self-esteem, decision-making, and future aspirations in an open Q&A environment. At the end of the outreach, 90 hygiene kits were distributed to students and female teachers. Street Aid Africa Foundation continues its mission to support vulnerable youth through health awareness and community-based initiatives.
