Rio Ferdinand has urged Danny Welbeck to reject reported interest from Chelsea and consider a return to Manchester United. The former United defender said Welbeck's work rate, pressing and experience would make him a useful option for Michael Carrick's squad. Welbeck came through United's academy and scored 29 goals in 142 appearances before joining Arsenal in 2014. The 35-year-old Brighton striker scored 14 goals in 40 appearances last season. Chelsea and Manchester United are both reported to be looking for experienced cover in attack.
