Serena Williams is set to return to the court at the Cincinnati Open, where she will partner her sister Venus Williams in the doubles draw. The sisters received a wild-card entry for the tournament in Mason, Ohio. It will be their first doubles match together since the 2022 US Open and their first appearance as a team at Cincinnati. Serena and Venus have won 14 Grand Slam doubles titles and three Olympic gold medals together. Serena’s earlier comeback was cut short after a knee injury forced her to withdraw from Wimbledon doubles, while Venus is also scheduled to play mixed doubles at the US Open with Alexander Bublik.
