Wike urges reconciliation, vows aggrieved PDP members will get their entitlements
At Monday’s PDP National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja, FCT Minister and PDP National Leader Nyesom Wike urged the party leadership to set up a strong reconciliation committee to reach out to aggrieved members. He assured them that any entitlements due will still be honoured if they return. Wike warned that ongoing internal disputes could weaken the party’s prospects and stressed the importance of swift crisis resolution. He also reaffirmed his commitment to the PDP, declaring he will remain a member since 1998. PDP National Chairman Abdulrahman Mohammed announced that the era of uncertainty is over and pledged to conduct transparent congresses in line with the Electoral Act and INEC guidelines. Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, called on members to bury their differences and uphold party discipline. He commended reforms such as the new e-registration initiative aimed at strengthening internal processes.
