Super Eagles forward Akor Adams was reportedly set to take a first-half penalty for Venezia against Lazio before coach Giovanni Stroppa instructed John Yeboah to take it instead. Yeboah’s effort was saved by Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas, leaving Venezia without the lead. Adams was said to be unhappy after being removed as the designated taker. Lazio took control after the break and went on to win the match 2-0.
