Sen. Nwoko Confident Super Eagles Will Bounce Back for 2030 World Cup

Senate Sports Committee Vice Chairman Sen. Ned Nwoko expressed regret that the Super Eagles failed to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. He praised Morocco’s impressive run and said lessons learned from African teams will drive Nigeria’s push to qualify and make an impact at the 2030 tournament. Touring the new NFF/FIFA hostel and training pitches in Abuja, he called the facilities a key investment in young talent and urged both government and private investors to increase support for Nigerian sports.
