Maguire Calls for Change After Manchester United’s 3-0 Loss to Bournemouth

Manchester United stand-in captain Harry Maguire says the players must take responsibility after Bournemouth claimed a 3-0 Premier League win at Old Trafford on Sunday, October 25. Maguire said United’s performance fell below the standard expected at the club and urged his teammates to reflect on what more they can contribute. “We have to find something, ask ourselves questions and look in the mirror,” he said after the match. Goals from Rayan, Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson left United 16th in the table with seven points from eight matches. The defeat extended their winless run to eight games in all competitions and intensified pressure around manager Michael Carrick. Maguire said any discussions within the dressing room would remain private, but admitted the team’s current form is unacceptable. “Something has to change,” he said.
