Chelsea’s Joao Pedro Named Premier League Player of the Month for August
Chelsea forward Joao Pedro has won the Premier League Player of the Month award for August 2026, the first time he has received the honour. The Brazilian made a fast start to the 2026/27 campaign, recording two goals and two assists in Chelsea’s opening two league victories. He scored after 33 seconds and assisted Cole Palmer’s winner against Fulham. Pedro then scored and set up Palmer again in the win over Brighton & Hove Albion. He finished ahead of Palmer and six other nominees in the fan vote, becoming Chelsea’s first winner of the award since Palmer in September 2024.
