Dr. Francis Ilenloa Igberaese, senior lecturer at Ambrose Alli University and author of EMATON, has appealed to Governor Monday Okpebholo to automatically employ fresh Ph.D holders in Edo’s universities and tertiary institutions. He argued that existing funds could cover the salaries of new scholars and that replacing retired or contract professors with energetic Ph.D graduates will strengthen the education sector and boost productivity. During the public presentation of his book EMATON, Prof. Henry Imhonde praised the 25-chapter work as essential reading on leadership and governance. Dr. Igberaese also urged the state government to revive the Institute of Continuing Education in Benin City, a former legacy closed despite its historic value.
