Despite Peter Obi’s intense campaign support for LP and ADC candidates in Edo and Anambra, both parties recorded dismal performances. Obi even lost in his own polling unit to APGA and APC. The FCT municipal polls followed the same pattern. Despite top-notch campaigning and evening rallies, Obi’s party won no chairmanship or councillorship seats. Even his most visible ally lost at his local unit. Observers raised no doubts about these elections’ credibility. These outcomes suggest the opposition faces an uphill battle ahead of 2027.
