Jorge Jesus Appointed Portugal Coach, Eyes Ronaldo Return
Jorge Jesus has signed a four-year contract to lead Portugal through to the 2030 World Cup. The 71-year-old manager was unveiled at the Portuguese Football Federation headquarters in Lisbon. Jesus says Cristiano Ronaldo remains welcome in his plans. He praised Ronaldo as a national symbol and plans to speak with him about his international future after the five-time Ballon d’Or winner indicated he wants to finish his career at Al Nassr. Having won the Saudi Pro League last season, Jesus replaces Roberto Martínez. He admits it will be a tough challenge but believes his fitness and experience can help Portugal win major titles.
