The Hidden Dangers of Stagnant Spiritual Growth
Grace is more than teachings to hear. It is Christ’s life living in us. Without growth in grace, we can stay spiritually immature while thinking we are active. When growth stops, religion takes over. Activities, titles and outward performance replace true intimacy with God. We trade stability, discernment and maturity for noise and legalism. Failing to grow in grace leads to fear and guilt. We work to earn what Christ has already provided. This results in exhaustion, frustration and a servant mentality instead of confident sonship. True grace empowers purpose and fruitfulness. It humbles us, teaches compassion and secures our identity in Christ. Without it, we become vulnerable to deception, bitterness and spiritual stagnation.
