Education Ministry Releases Approved Textbook List for Nigerian Schools, 2026–2028

The Federal Ministry of Education has released the final list of textbooks approved for use in Nigerian schools from 2026 to 2028. The first phase covers Primary 1, Primary 4, JSS 1 and SSS 1. Each approved book has a unique ranking and QR tracking code, as well as its title, author, publisher and year of publication. The ministry said the codes will help schools and education authorities identify approved materials, monitor procurement and improve transparency. It added that generating and validating the tracking codes contributed to the time taken to complete the list.
