Pastor Momo Promise Demands Probe of Plateau, Kaduna and Zamfara Killings, Warns Against Politicising Violence
A Nigerian cleric, Apostle Momo Promise of Zion Flames Prophetic and Intercessory Ministries, has urged the Federal Government to launch an urgent investigation into the recent wave of killings in Plateau, Kaduna and Zamfara states. He stressed that innocent Nigerians are dying daily and warned against using the violence for political gain. The pastor emphasised that both Christians and Muslims deserve to live in peace without fear. Recalling the post–civil war “One Nigeria” unity campaign, Apostle Promise called on the government and stakeholders to revive efforts that promote national cohesion. He believes that restoring trust and unity is essential to ending the cycle of violence and ensuring the country’s survival. His appeal, delivered as part of an Easter sermon, reflects growing concerns among religious leaders over persistent attacks, abductions and displacement in northern and central Nigeria.
