I Supported Her Business, but She Did Not Repay My ₦1m Loan
I met a student who said she came from a poor background and was using a POS business to support herself through school. She asked for ₦50,000, and I gave her the money. When I asked whether she had any skills, she said she could sew. I bought a sewing machine for her, and she later secured a contract worth more than ₦2 million to make 300 sportswear outfits. Because she had no shop in the client’s location, she asked me for a loan of more than ₦1 million. I gave it to her based on trust. After completing the contract, she has refused to repay the loan, saying she made losses. I feel betrayed, but I also want to hear other people’s experiences with lending money or supporting a partner’s business.
