Ezeji Backs Obaje to Chase NPFL All-Time Scoring Record After 100th Goal

Former Nigeria Premier Football League star Victor Ezeji has congratulated Enugu Rangers forward Godwin Obaje on reaching 100 league goals. Obaje reached the milestone after spells with Wikki Tourists, FC Ifeanyi Ubah, Abia Warriors and Rangers. He joins an exclusive group of NPFL players to score at least 100 goals, including Ezeji and Rabiu Ali. Ezeji, who retired with 148 NPFL goals, said he would be pleased to see his record surpassed. He said records are meant to be broken and wished Obaje success in his pursuit of the all-time mark. Attention will now turn to how far Obaje can extend his tally with Rangers and whether he can close in on Ezeji's 148-goal benchmark.
