Covenant University Tops Nigeria’s Research Environment Ranking for 2027

Covenant University is ranked first in the 2027 research environment list with a score of 32.5. Osun State University follows with 25.6, while the University of Lagos and University of Ibadan rank third and fourth. Other institutions in the top 15 include Landmark University, Obafemi Awolowo University, FUTA, the University of Ilorin, Ahmadu Bello University, UNICAL, UNN, Bayero University, LASU, LAUTECH and Kwara State University. Nine of the 15 listed universities are in the South West, indicating a strong regional concentration in the ranking. The ranking does not state the methodology used to calculate the research environment scores.
