Vance said this desire for a more grounded life was central to his gradual return to Christianity. He said he found in the faith an answer to a personal longing that career success could not satisfy. Usha Vance, who was raised Hindu, has said she did not share the same search for a new faith. The couple, married since 2014, have four children and continue to navigate their different religious backgrounds together.
