Foreigner Pays to Rescue Sea Turtles From Sale in Lagos

A foreign man reportedly intervened near Eko Hotel in Lagos after seeing men trying to sell sea turtles. He pleaded with them and appealed to bystanders and police officers to help protect the animals. When his appeals did not work, he reportedly paid for the turtles so they could be freed. With help from a police van, they were taken to the sea and released, according to a social media post describing the incident.
