Advance with What You Already Have
In Judges 3:31 we read about Shamgar, who used an oxgoad—a simple farming tool—to strike down six hundred Philistines and save Israel. His story is only one verse long, yet it reminds us that God often equips us with ordinary tools for extraordinary victories. Too many of us wait for perfect resources, titles, or external validation before we move. Shamgar’s example shows that courage, not equipment, wins the battle. When we refuse to let the absence of ideal conditions hold us back, even a modest skill or small opportunity can become our means of triumph. Ask yourself: What ordinary “oxgoad” is already in your hand? Use that skill or resource today and watch God multiply your efforts. Prayer: Lord, thank You for the tools You’ve given me. I choose to advance now with what’s in my hand. Multiply my small beginnings into a testimony of victory. Further Reading: Judges 3:31; Exodus 4:2; Zechariah 4:10
