NGX CEO Jude Chiemeka Becomes President of African Securities Exchanges Association
Nigerian Exchange Limited CEO Jude Chiemeka has been appointed President of the African Securities Exchanges Association, effective September 30, 2026. He succeeds Rwanda Stock Exchange CEO Pierre Célestin Rwabukumba. Chiemeka will lead the association as African exchanges pursue closer market integration, improved liquidity, stronger cross-border investment frameworks and wider use of financial technology. His presidency is expected to support inter-exchange trading, cross-listing, sustainable finance standards and greater participation by local and international investors. The appointment also strengthens Nigeria’s role in efforts to build a more connected African capital market.
