Bayelsa State Police operatives from the Anti-Vice Unit stopped a tricycle on the Igbogene–Tombia Expressway, Yenagoa, and found four single-barrel firearms hidden in a sack. The 68-year-old driver and his 36-year-old son, both from Futoro Gbene Community in Ekeremor LGA, were arrested during the routine stop-and-search operation. When questioned, the suspects said they were travelling to Abua in Rivers State. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Yenagoa for further investigation into the source of the firearms and any accomplices.
