Sadio Mané Announces Retirement From Senegal National Team
Senegal superstar Sadio Mané has confirmed he will no longer represent his country at international level after 14 years with the Lions of Teranga. The 34-year-old made 130 appearances for Senegal since his debut in 2012 and played a key part in winning the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations following a runners-up finish in 2019. Although Mané steps away from international duty, he will continue his club career with Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, where he is under contract until 2027. In his farewell message, the two-time African Footballer of the Year thanked fans for their unwavering support and said he hopes to contribute to Senegalese football in a coaching or administrative role in the future.
