Dalung Warns Insecurity and Economic Hardship Could Derail Tinubu’s Re-election

Dalung Warns Insecurity and Economic Hardship Could Derail Tinubu’s Re-election

Former Youth Minister Solomon Dalung has cautioned that worsening insecurity and economic hardship may undermine President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term if urgent action is not taken. Speaking with a national broadcaster, Dalung said rising violence, unemployment and perceived mismanagement of the economy are top voter concerns. He argued that ordinary Nigerians feel left behind by government reforms, while only officials and political insiders seem to be benefiting. He also raised alarm over tensions in parts of the Southwest, especially Ibadan, where residents have reportedly resorted to public protests. Dalung warned that ignoring these warning signs could lead the country down a familiar troubled path.
