Iran’s Supreme Leader Vows to Demand ‘Blood Money’ from US and Israel
In a televised address, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei vowed to seek compensation from the US and Israel for damages and the “blood money” of martyrs. He insisted Iran will defend its rights while not pursuing war. Khamenei warned that control of the Strait of Hormuz will enter a new phase amid growing tensions. He also urged pro-Iranian protesters in neighboring countries to raise their voices publicly to shape negotiations. The speech came after a NATO official praised strong leadership and noted some allies were slow to support US actions. Earlier reports say the US President issued an ultimatum to NATO: send warships to the strait or risk losing American support.
