Jorge Jesus Says Ronaldo Can Return to Portugal Squad After Walkout

Portugal coach Jorge Jesus says Cristiano Ronaldo remains eligible for selection if he is playing for Al-Nassr and wants to return to the national team. Ronaldo reportedly left the Portugal camp after learning he would not start against Denmark. Jesus had earlier left the 41-year-old forward on the bench for a win over Norway. The coach said he had previously told Ronaldo he still needed his experience around the squad, whether he starts matches or not. Ronaldo is Portugal’s record scorer and most-capped player, but has suggested this could be his final year in football.
