Team Nigeria Women’s 4x400m Relay Qualify for World U-20 Final with Season’s Best
Team Nigeria’s women’s 4x400m relay team has qualified for the final at the 2026 World U-20 Athletics Championships in Oregon. Becky Ebiayadi, Jecinta Lawrence, Tejiri Praise Ugoh and Faith Ezechukwu ran a season’s-best 3:35.28 to finish third in their heat. The result secured the final automatic qualification spot. Italy won the heat in a World U-20 record time of 3:33.63, followed by Great Britain in 3:33.82. Nigeria finished ahead of South Africa and the other teams in the race. The Nigerian quartet will now compete for a medal in the final, hoping to improve on their season’s-best performance.
