Does Prayer Have Any Link to Technological Advancement?
I have noticed that some people bring up God or religion whenever they discuss a country's technological progress or the introduction of new technology. They often say things like, “These people do not go to church or pray, yet see what they are achieving. In Africa, we only pray.” I do not understand how 30 minutes or several hours of prayer directly determines technological advancement. I think this argument is unfair to religious people and oversimplifies why some countries develop faster than others. Progress depends on education, research, infrastructure, investment and effective institutions.
