The Faculty of Environmental Sciences successfully defended their men’s football title at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Staff Games. They beat the Faculty of Arts 2-0 in a final that capped a fiercely contested tournament involving fourteen faculties and units. Dr Alom Anselem Chukwuma opened the scoring with a composed finish. Prof Joseph Onyejiaka soon doubled the advantage with a moment of individual brilliance. The Faculty of Arts claimed silver, while the Faculty of Social Sciences took bronze. Captain Dr Chiagozie Bert-Okonkwor praised his squad’s discipline and unity as the key to retaining the crown.
