Nigeria’s UN Ambassador Jimoh Ibrahim Arrives in New York, Outlines Multilateral Security Strategy
Ambassador Jimoh Ibrahim landed in New York to take up his role at Nigeria’s UN mission. He assured that President Bola Tinubu is engaging the US, Britain, Türkiye and other partners to tackle the country’s security challenges. Ibrahim said Nigeria seeks help from any nation with solutions to Boko Haram and similar threats. “We are not looking to one country only,” he explained, adding that multilateral talks are already under way in Washington, London and Istanbul. He stressed Nigeria’s unity and sovereignty and called on the global community to support the Renewed Hope Agenda. As Permanent Representative, he will push for more collaboration to strengthen Nigeria’s security and development.
