Projecting Ekiti Tourism To The World: Discover Ekiti Takes Adventure across the Space From Fajuyi park To the Abuad planetarium dome and then across the entire composition of the universe. About 40 inquisitive learners from across Ekiti State on Saturday 17th of July 2021 took a journey into the space in search of knowledge about the world they live in. For two hours in the dome of the largest Planetarium in west Africa, the Abuad planetarium, the participants of the Daycation Trip To ABUAD Planetarium 1.0 journeyed across visible space and even took a step out of the Galaxy. It was a memorable day for participants, Learning about the principles of sun rise and sun set, the rotation of the earth about its axis to give day and night, the yearly revolution of the earth around the sun which also decides the seasons of the year. One of them, Oyindamola Adedapo who revealed she was Motivated by father to attend explained that it was an Amazing and fun-filled experience to be exposed to more details about earth and how things are revolving around Earth. He said " getting to know about Orion's spur was beyond expectations. we also saw a Realistic view of space. So much we haven't experienced. What the galaxies look like." He thus Encouraged the government to encourage adventures such as this. He described it as An investment in knowledge to know more about life and can also be source of revenue generation. medical doctor, Mrs Omolola Alao, described the visit to the planetarium as a wonderful adventure. According to her "Thinking and imagining being in the space and seeing what happens on a day to day is just awesome, this is an experience every School child should have, they have to see this together with their theoretical studies." She further Appreciated the founder of Afe Babalola University ado Ekiti, Aare Afe Babalola for setting up the planetarium. Dr. Alao also lauded the team lead of discover Ekiti, Michael Peculiar Ekiran for the adventure. Ekiran in his own comment appreciated the participants who made it for the Daycation 1.0. He reiterated the commitment of discover Ekiti to showcase and amplify the beautiful tourist attractions embedded in Ekiti state to residents and the world at large.
