Soludo Names Bishop Kukah as Chancellor of Ojukwu University
Governor Chukwuma Soludo has appointed Bishop Matthew Kukah as Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University. Bishop Kukah, Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, is celebrated for his scholarship and social justice advocacy. He studied Philosophy and Theology at St. Augustine Major Seminary, Jos, and holds a diploma from the University of Ibadan. He earned a Bachelor of Divinity from the Pontifical Urban University, a Master’s in Peace Studies from the University of Bradford, and a Ph.D. from SOAS, University of London. He has also pursued studies at Oxford and Harvard and founded the Kukah Centre for interfaith harmony and policy reform. The governor’s office says his leadership will boost global partnerships, promote ethical governance and support the university’s mission to develop well-rounded graduates.
