Lere Olayinka, media aide to the FCT Minister, has called for the arrest of Islamic cleric Shafiy Adeba over a video circulating online. In the Yoruba-language video, Adeba allegedly made remarks suggesting that Muslims could enslave or confine non-Muslims during conflict. The comments have drawn criticism for promoting religious intolerance and violence. Olayinka said such extremist preaching should be addressed by law enforcement, warning that it could threaten the long-standing peaceful coexistence of Muslims, Christians and traditional worshippers in Yorubaland.
